What is Maycamp?
Over the late May bank holiday weekend, we join approx. 400 other young people and leaders from all over Sussex come together for a fantastic time of fun, games, activities, worship and inspiring talks on the Christian Faith all out under the stars!
Each year we camp for 3 nights at Plumpton Racecourse. That will be our base so we can enjoy all the activities and facilities at Maycamp, a great Christian youth festival organised by the Diocese of Chichester.
MayCamp is primarily for 11–15-year-olds but there is now a new and exciting additional focus on training young leaders, those between the ages of 16-18 years!
So, what happened in 2026?
Once again at Plumpton Racecourse over the last bank holiday weekend in May, Kidz Klub took about 40 young people and leaders to MayCamp, run by the diocese of Chichester. Along with over 400 other young people and leaders from across Sussex, we learnt more about the Holy Spirit as we celebrated Pentecost Sunday.
We prayed for good weather, and we got that in abundance! Even though temperatures soared everyone enjoyed a fantastic weekend, even playing in the infamous football tournament in +30C. Kidz Klub didn’t win this year but played with a great attitude and sportsmanship.
Many of the young people shared how they experienced God in a new way and are really looking forward to attending The Time of Your Life residential in August! Please continue to pray for the young people and their leaders as they grow in faith.

Many of our young people come from the more deprived areas of the city and find it financially challenging to be able to join in with many of the activities and trips on offer. Can you help us raise funds to make sure that no one misses out from any of our life changing residentials?
